Welcome to Newmarket

Newmarket is the headquarters of thoroughbred breeding, racing and training. It is a unique and fascinating place to visit with something of interest for everyone.

You can see mares and their foals at the National Stud, tour the famous Newmarket gallops and racing yards, enjoy the thrill of a day’s racing and cap it all off with dinner in comfortable and relaxed surroundings.

Here at Discover Newmarket, we offer you a great opportunity to go behind the scenes at racing’s headquarters. See the equine stars at work, meet their trainers and meet the staff who look after them. We can arrange guided tours for groups or individuals and can even organise your accommodation if required. We’ll act as your single point of contact and organise individual itineraries.

Half-day or full-day visits are available and tours can be combined with racing at one of Newmarket's famous two racecourses. There is also a selection of excellent hotels for those that would like to stay longer.

Good road and rail links mean that Newmarket is located an hour away from London and just minutes from Cambridge, Ely and Bury St Edmunds, three of England’s most famous and historic centres.

With this much on offer, what are you waiting for? Book your visit today!
